So for the next while I'm going to be posting pictures that I've taken with the camera I borrow from my photo class. Things that kind of speak to me. Every picture has a story and every time I look at them I think of that moment in time.

Please don't 'steal' my photos, just give me some credit. I worked hard driving all around San Diego for these shots.

(None are photoshopped unless I make a note of it. Mainly because me and photoshop have a hate-hate relationship:)

OOTD: 12/6/2009

I love this outfit, kind of elegant but casual enough to go get a cup of coffee with. The top has an empire waist, thats why it looks like I have a humongo tummy, I really dont hahah its the poof it makes, i promise :P . The heels are bcbg, and will be put up as one of my "shoe:" posts :)

I have the worst tan lines because of water polo, its ridiculous. I need a quick fix because I have a huge party to go to on the 19th, and I'm thinking of just putting bronzer on the tan lines... That could either be fine or a horrible mistake.

And again sorry about the mess :(

Purses, Purses, and More Purses

Is it only me that thinks 'purse' is kind of an ugly word? Anyway since I was so motivated to organize my shoes (pictures on that a little later:) thanks by the way!) I decided to post a photo on the mess of my purses. I did organize them but I can't find a good system for them. Right now they're in one of those plastic drawer things from walmart. Honestly they don't fit, they're to heavy for the drawers so it just looks like clutter in my room.

I just don't like where they are right now. I thought about hooks(on the wall), but honestly I have too many that it would be 10x more clutter. I also looked at putting them on the shelf in my closet but I know if I took them down I wouldn't put them back.

Can you help me? Like any good ideas? :)

Winter Cleaning?

This has become the sad state of my closet recently. What happens is I'm so busy trying to run out the door I don't care how everything that I take out goes back in. This weekend I'm going to try my hand in 'winter cleaning' haha oh dear. These aren't all of my shoes some are under my bed others in odd places, half on the other side of the room. I would love to see them all organized and pretty maybe with some shoe racks too!

I will definitly be posting the results, if it's any better. :P

OOTD: 11/12/2009

I got new glasses because well a. I needed them and there is no b. My eyes have been treating my contacts like "foreign objects" according to my ophthalmologists, so I'm stuck with these for about 2 weeks or maybe 3.

I actually kind of think they are sort of adorable, and sexy at the same time.... 2 words I'd never say about glasses. So anyway I'm "making them work" but really they're working for me ;), oh if your curious there Lucky Brand, with a fuchsia lining... who knew they made glasses?


So on to the Outfit. I decided to use one of my new tops from charlotte russe, I'm liking this store less and less but found 3 things I liked. This plaid shirt was one of them. It has cotton ribbing going up the sides so it definitely has the slimming effect.

I just pared it with a lace tank top and teal v-neck, since sometimes flannel can look a little manly.

My Feet are so awkward in this one, but I was like "how do I show I'm wearing a heel without putting my foot in front of the camera?" and somehow came up with the worst idea on how to. Oh well we live and we learn:). This is just the full outfit but I like the pic above a lot better!

Big Dreams

I feel like I need to tell you, I am returning my little Olympus stylus tough 6000, in hopes of saving up for a brand new Canon SLR camera. I've always wanted one, and since I have taken a photo class (and am signed up for another) I know how to mess with the aperture and exposure so needless to say it would go to good use.

I am still going to be posting OOTDs because those pictures are from my web cam. There will probably be more pictures I find online though rather than my own, but as soon as I get my SLR think of the quality! If I can steal (as in borrow) a friends, or relatives digital camera in the mean time I'll try!

OOTD: 11/9/2009

Please ignore the mess, I really need to get that in control.

I love this dress, I was going through my closet and found it. I've had it for about 2-3 years and have never worn it before. It had the tags on and everything ($23.99 if you were wondering) I don't know what I was thinking and why I even passed it up. I love the pattern.

A good dress can be a great savior, when you just don't want to think about what you're wearing, but you want to look nice, feminine, and cute.


My style might seem a little "simple and easy" but when I go to class that's all I want, simple easy yet I want to be noticed (in a good way).


And can anyone else wait for Friday? Its not getting here soon enough!

Shoes: A Purple Pair

I love Nine West Shoes, I bought these for about $10 at the Nine West Outlet (which is definitely one of my favorite shoe stores.) There was a deal that if you bought 2 pairs you get one pair $10 off, and these were 0riginally $20.

I love Nine West shoes since I have big feet (patas de elefanta according to my mother), and most of their shoes fit me so YAY for that. I can't wear them everyday, but I love pairing it with odd combos. Since it's a sort of muted purple, it can add color to an outfit and can blend in at the same time.

I have a secret love for shoes, and I think I'm going to continue posts like this, like different pairs of my shoes.

What's your favorite brand of shoes that always seems to fit just right?

Outifit Of The Day: 11/5/2009

Ayayi I look horrible, this is what a day of class does to me.. Haha, if I'm going to do more OOTDs They will DEFINITELY be taken in the morning.

I love this outfit, especially since it's very casual yet put together, the yellow really doesn't match but you really couldn't see it through out the day. I like wearing a tank top underneath clothes because it just makes me feel more secure, and my tummy stays nicely under wraps:). I'm sorry there's no story but this is just my Oh Sh*t I might be late outfit, without the "Hi, I don't care what I look like today" look (which trust me there are definitely days like that.)

I think I'm going to be putting out the clothes I'm going to wear out at night so first it doesn't take long to get dressed and second I can have more fun OOTDs! Yay!

Embarrasing Moments

What's your most emberassing moment? Is a question I hear all of the time. All I can ever say is "I don't really have one." People always think that's impossible but honestly I don't have a most embarissing moment, does that mean I'm lucky?

I'm not saying embarrassing things don't happen to me. There just not THAT embarrassing and I'm the kind of person who can brush it off and walk away or just laugh at myself along with everybody.

This was all sparked by something that happened yesterday. In math we were doing some problems in class, i had my i pod in and apparently started singing. I heard everyone laughing so i take out my earphones and go "what happened?" My friend told me I started belting out Kids by MGMT. First off I never noticed I was singing. I turned the color of a ripe tomato and started laughing. Yah I was embarrassed but I'm not beating myself up for it.

So anyway, what yours most embarrassing moment?

Outfit Of The Day

I know I'm not your typical skinny person, whom I normally see doing these, but i don't know wouldn't you want to see something on someone a little bit lets use the kinder term "curvier"? Maybe I'm just trying to butt into the trend, but whatevs!

I ended up throwing on a magenta scarf with gold in it, and little booties (such a fun word to say) since it was FREEZING outside (as in it didn't get about 70)

The Story of a Piece:
This tank top I've had for about 2 years, I bought it at a french boutique. I saw this shirt in a store window and thought I've got to have it (at the beginning of my trip). I was there for a week and had approximately 300 Euros Spending money. I had no idea what else I'd see so when I saw it was 30 euros I though eh its passable. As soon as we got into Paris (on the fourth day) me and my friends went shopping all over, we landed in promod, and i MADE them go in with me. There was no choice. It wasn't there cup of tea as they liked more pop mainstream things, and something about this store I just really liked, if my memory serves me correct, it was kind of a sophisticated yet fun store, like a working city girl on her days off who wants a bit of color but doesn't want to look like she's at the beach 24/7 (like my town does). So it was definitely a nice change in pace from the average hollister, abercrombie type thing. I ended up buying this and a necklace and I don't regret it one bit. I would love to go back again, and me and a good friend are planning to go next year. I don't know how, I don't know exactly when, but it will happen.

FOTD: 10/28/2009

I love Feline Eye Power Kohl thing whatever (how descriptive haha). I love getting up in the mornings and putting it in my waterline and a little bit below and smudging the day lights out of it, and I've been doing the same with my eye liner.
I take feline and line my upper lid, and both my water lines. On the Bottom I take a pointed brush with a soft brown color, and blend blend blend! Then with the same pointy brush and a dark chocolatey brown I blend blend blend some more. I thought I would never like the look of this, but it took me to be bored and play with make up that I realised it looks really nice. It's not as harsh as regular eye liner and really gives you that "I've been doing my eyeshadow for 30 minutes" smokey looks when really I only spend 5 minutes doing it, It's the easiest!

You might be able to see how it looks in the pictures below... taken at 5am, feel sympathy for how early I have to wake up!

Specifically this one you can really see the under eyes.
The only warning is, if you have to go ANYWHERE near water, stay clear of this, it does not end well... unless you like looking like you have to black eyes.

A Quick Love Affair

I am 100 % in love with a foundation, it's all I have been using since I got it... So about 2 weeks (which is saying something especially for me. I rarely use the same foundation 2 days in a row, I mean for heaven sakes I have enough foundation to cover a small country why neglect the others).

It's a little bottle weighing in at 30ml (same size as the mac primer sp50), but oh does it pack a punch. The bottle says light coverage but with it I don't need concealer. Light coverage as in it makes you look natural and not matte but not that obnoxious "Hi I decided to spread glitter on my face." and it doesn't make you look like a cake face. Its gorgeous and has a great smell, the only down side is it doesn't hide my HUMONGOUS pores (that may be a tad exaggerated).

So if you scrolled down to cut to the chase and saw what the product is, you dont get the whole climax of a story thing, but if you didn't DRUM ROLL PLEASE! (Ok just imagine one).

I am the color 07 golden beige, I feel proud that im not the lightest or second to lightest (although I bought those shades, just in case). This is just a tad (and honestly a really eency weency bit I'm being picky here) orangey on my skin, but it looks gorgeous kinda like that i was out tanning all day look, and not too much that it makes my neck look odd, its just right. In my opinion I love that little orangeyness too it, so many foundations are so yellow based or too pink that when I put them on I have to cake on the bronzer just to make me look like a ...the word mime definitly comes to mind, that white cake face with no color. Anyway just a little of track, I usually only use a dab for 1/2 my face.Compared to other foundations that is tiny (i usually slather it on).

This foundation is heaven sent! It makes my skin feel breathable doesnt cause any you know whats. I found this at big lots, honestly I have always been one of those biased people who think drug store foundation will cake and clog your pores, and this is honestly one of the only ones I have (next to an almay one I purchased, same place, same time). it was $3.50. So let the lesson be learned, you can find a good drugstore foundation just keep your eyes open.

Did I mention I love the sent too! Almost like a hybrid of the bronze universal and somthing else, I cant put my finger on. And what have you got to loose $3.50?

A Little Tid Bit: Sunglasses & Whores

So I might start this segment, kinda of somthing I will just throw up here randomly when somthing happens and when I say somthing I mean somthing funny and light and somthing that will be somewhat amusing (at least to me).

So I had a really dramatic look on today, and we went to Trader Joe's (TJs) and Henry's ( a grocery store )

When me and my mother were in TJs, my mom bumped into a friend of hers so i put on my sunglasses because I didn't feel like embarrassing her. After she told me to never do that again because I looked like a stoner.

Later we walked into Henrys and it went a little somthing like this:

"Ok so I wont put on my sunglasses in here so I want look like a stoner"
"Good."
"I'll Just look like a whore."
"At least whores provide pleasure."

Just to have my mom tell me that made my day. :)

Irony.

I have been suffering from what I feel is death, but really more like a terrible head cold, sore throat, headache, ear thing. Honestly, I feel like I am hacking out my lungs. I didn't think it was that bad until I was so excited about taking a shower and smelling up my bathroom with my bubblegum on crack scented shampoo. Then I realized I cant smell.

Today, I woke up around Noonish and went downstairs, completely forgeting about the shower scenario, to find that my Candles By Victoria order had finally came in. I open the candles all excited (since i have been waiting for it since 9/2). I go to smell the freakin candle, and I cant smell. I ask my mother to smell them and she tells me they all smell like bathroom, she hates fragrance stuff unless it smells extremely earthy.

Now they sit across my room on my dresser and have been suffering the same fate as my almond clusters, the stare down.

At this point I would kill to be able to smell. Kill what? maybe an ant.

My Plan

I feel like I have to get this out of my head and onto a piece of paper, or website, or whatever.

What I am planning to do for Project _______ (this seriously needs a name):

-Counting Calories
-Excersising AT LEAST twice a week (one toning, one cardio)
-Snack = Fruit, no string cheese :( oh the cheese!
-Avoid gluten and soy, just like you are avoiding a person you know your going to run into them, you just hide when you do.
-NO high fructose corn syrup, causes inflimation and who wants that?
-No soda (wont be hard for me since i never drink it)

This list will probably grow as the days move on, but if you notice there is nothing that says no cake no "bad food" that's because i think bad food is O.K. every once in a while. When I went to WW I learned the "3 bite rule" (if i remember correctly but I like it so if its wrong.. oh well)
It's where is you see a brownie and you want one SO bad, you take 3 bites then re evaluate to see if you really need to finish it off. That right there has probably saved me like a billion calories (**slight exageration** :P)

A Change in My Life

I think I have realised somthing that I knew, I want to say a while ago. I need to loose weight/inches whatever. I haven't "realised" it until now because flat and simple, I am lazy. I have tried to do this in the past for other people, if that makes any sense. For my brother because he would always call me fat, for my friend who wanted a friend to loose weight with her, so on and so on. What I have realised is I have to do this for me, and I have to do it alone. That is the only way it's going to work, at least for me and who I am.

What really pushed me over the edge was I was talking to my mother; the conversation went just a little like this:

"Why dont you loose weight?" (mother)
"I'm lazy, and it's not that I can't because I know how, I just dont feel like it. and yet I still want to"
"I think you're scared"
Her telling me that made me do a double take.
"why?"
"because you are pretty, and if you were skinnier you would be gorgeous, and I think you're scared because it's like unkown ground"

Trust me I know there is some messed up logic in there, but in that conversation I kind of figured it out. I dont want to fail, I stop myself from doing so much just because I am terrified of failling. I have never failed anything, and I know thats why I was so terrified of taking my driving test.

I know how to loose weight because I have done it before, then was like ehh i dont care "hello, crap food when I go out with friends"

At home I eat healthily. I am not one of those people who eats pizza and frozen dinners, I am the type of person who has breakfast a fruit as a snack, than eat a salad for lunch, go home and eat dinner.

Long story short, I am turning myself around. I am confidant about myself, but who wouldnt want more confidence?

I dont want to put this on my YouTube channel, because its a little personal and I am not one of those people who will put EVERYTHING out there. I will be posting more on this, but as of right now I am getting everything in order. I think I will be starting Project: _____ (i need a name for that lol) by wednesday. I will see how things pan out.

Rea By Zoya

Can I just say this is a GORGEOUS color! When applied it has that glitter look but is still opaque. I want to say it's purple with different purple shimmer. It isnt a blue-y purple, more like a red and more on the pink side. The shortest way I could describe it is, a slightly blackened pinky purple. The effect of the shimmer out of the bottle is very similair to trixie or Richelle. I absolutely LOVE this color, probably my favorite of the zoya batch (but then again my favorite color is purple).

I have a file growing on my computer chalk full of pictures I like/love/adore etc. or just find plain interesting. I like things with lots of vibrant color, posting these pictures on here can take away from that because the pictures shrink, so I strongly recommend that if you find a picture you like to click the link and look at the whole sized picture. They just seem more colorful that way :). This might become a semi-regular thing depending on what I find and how much more full that folder gets, and maybe now I can rename that folder "Unforgettable Color" lol. I hope you enjoy and at least flip (browse or whatever the internet equivalent is) through them.

Zoya Twitter 5000

I promise you, that you have no idea how impatient I can be. Today I litterally sat waiting at the window for these GORGEOUS nailpolishes to arrive, decided I was being childish and went for a shower. I then hoped that by some good fortune that they had come in, walked (ok more like ran) to the mail box, and there were 3 packages to my delight.

These are the polishes I bought (more like payed for shipping) with the Zoya 5000 code, I am so happy and haven't even opened up the bottles yet lol. The only thing I think I should "justify" is that I bought the top coat and bottom coat. I did that because I really want to give the zoya line a good test before I decide on it (yay or nay type thing). And truthfully I dont have a good top or base coat so win win? :) Onto the pictures.

Unforgettable Color's "Eincy WeencyTrailer"

Trying to think about what my first blog post is going to be, has me stumped. So after thinking about it for what feels like forever but in actuality is only 4 hours, i have decided to write about what you can expect from my little blog. Now naming the post was also another problem, i thought about how you get enticed to see a movie, by its trailer hence the name of the post.

Somethings you can expect are little blurbs about anything I feel like, make up, nail polish, life, music I am in love with, etc. and I think I will throw some hair stuff in here too :). Inspirational pictures I might find, really just a bit more organized brain storming board. But unlike a brain storm I hope that it has more complete and better explained thoughts.

I am actually really excited about what's to come on here, and I am not guaranteeing anything will stay the same. Such as the Title of the blog , the URL, or pictures. I will probably delete some posts because I can be a perfectionist. Trust me I wish I could change that about myself because in all honesty it stops me from doing things, but hey we are who we are. So that being said, I hope you will enjoy my blog :).

PS. I enjoy the use of "lols" and smiley faces, I hope that doesn't bother anyone, but sometimes I accidentally put it into text and when correcting things I just read over it (namely lols, lol :P)
